During a new interview with Joe Rock of Long Island radio station WBAB, former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum said that Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is unlikely to ever tour again. The legendary rock singer suffered a severe vocal cord injury in 2023, which led to the band’s retirement announcement in 2024. Hope was raised when Tyler made a triumphant return to the stage during his sixth annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party. But Sorum, who served as Musical Director for the benefit show, explained that the 77-year-old Tyler is not physically capable of touring again. “He went out and sang. And it was a really big moment for him because he hurt himself bad,” Sorum said of Tyler’s performance at the event. “Now, is he going to tour again? No, he’s not.
